The Senior Analyst role is a part of the Order Fulfillment Team, and sits within our Operations department. The Senior Analyst will work with data from a wide range of IT platforms and teams from across operations and wider business teams within Amplify, and our Finance and Operations teams. Within this team, you will have the opportunity to lead on a wide range of data-based projects to assist the data product offerings across the business that will have a high degree of customer facing impact. You will be involved in developing new business strategies and models, speaking publicly to management on how these strategies and models will enhance business efficiency, and creating monthly reports on the performance of the business. You should also be able to apply the monthly reports to identify business areas in need of improvement, and successfully lead the business analyst team.
Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrate up-to-date expertise in Information Systems and apply this to the development, execution and improvement of action plans by providing advice and guidance to Order Fulfillment in the application of information and standard methodologies
  • Establish and provide data extraction processes from any IT systems used by Amplify to enable data for decision making analytics
  • Build when required the optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, MySQL.
  • Identify and support alignment of systems and their data architecture to meet business insight requirements
  • Independently problem solve data issues when reported by data consumers, and provide automated analytical solutions
  • Promote data integrity by monitoring systems and working with system owners to ensure highest standards are achieved
  • Develop specifications, and develop and build automated analytical dashboards using market leading analytical software tools
  • Develop analytical reporting products using Snowflake data warehouse
  • Support Order Fulfillment in developing and ensuring adoption of consistent data terminologies in both data structures and reporting outputs across the business
  • Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.
  • Build analytics tools that use the data pipeline to deliver useful insights into key operational processes and provide insight which can be reacted to in a high paced operational environment. operational efficiency and other key business performance metrics.
  • Deliver high quality data insight applications in visualization applications using Tableau
  • Document data process tasks and providing advice on where automation is possible
  • Provide consultancy and advice on creating and measuring SLA's / KPI for vendors
  • Build and develop effective SLA / KPI monitoring dashboards which are proactive in nature.
  • Identify and lead on ways with quality assurance other collaborators to help develop processes which improve data reliability, efficiency and quality
  • Work with technology teams when developing / understanding data models required for analytical reporting solutions

Leadership:
  • Consistently demonstrate customer service excellence and standard methodologies by acting as an Order Fulfillment spokesperson in meetings and workshops as needed
  • Provide Order Fulfillment training for all new hires
  • Regularly review progress, feedback and monitor KPIs within peer groups.
  • Document and update standard processes to share with senior leadership

Basic Qualifications:
  • BA/BS degree
  • 5+ years of experience in data analysis, data science or related field
  • 5+ years of experience with SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or other database systems
  • 5+ years of experience in Netsuite, Salesforce, Tableau, or other business intelligence platforms
  • Sophisticated proficiency with Excel and Google Sheets
  • Analytical, strategic and creative problem solving skills
  • Experience working on large scale projects as well as handling day-to-day operational requests from the business

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Project management certification
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks at any given point, strong relationship building skills & communication skills
  • Highly motivated, as well as the demonstrable ability to create and develop a highly-motivated, success-oriented team
  • Experience in the field of education, school / district leadership, educational publishing / technology

What we offer:
Salary is only one component of the Amplify Total Rewards package, which includes a lucrative 401(k) plan, incentive stock options, competitive health insurance and mental health options, basic life insurance, paid time off, parental leave, and access to best-in-class development programs. The gross salary range for this role is $90,000 - $100,000. This role is eligible to receive an annual discretionary bonus that rewards individual and company performance.
