Job Summary

The Senior Analyst, Product Development supports the Product team in leading all analytical data research around product development and enhancement of the overall guest experience. Seeking out opportunities to understand the guest voice and leveraging all potential data channels to establish market trends, customer insights and potential to build a product unrivalled globally within hospitality. Supports Product Managers to ensure comprehensive and detailed research that creates a foundation for growth and product development across the fleet of existing and new build programs. An ambassador for the development of an end-to-end customer journey reflective of The Ritz-Carlton guest expectation.

Essential Functions

  • Partner with Product Managers to leverage customer insights and analytics that influence the mindful development of product experiences, ensuring the voice of the customer remains at the forefront of the vision. Understand and evaluate customer insights and market trends to make data-driven recommendations and execute the vision for future newbuild strategies and concepts.
  • Develop and identify creative and innovative approaches to leverage new data points to bring forward the voice of the consumer. Laser focused on driving and building on data through an end-to-end customer lens.
  • Responsible for identifying market trends and opportunities to improve and sustain an ultra-luxury guest experience while generating strong ROI and revenue streams.
  • Analyze all guest satisfaction and customer insights, including guest voice surveys and share all emerging trends as related to the guest experience. Ensure solutions are taken moving forward by all responsible areas to address emerging trends and product enhancement opportunities.
  • Partner with Product Managers to create strong business cases that support department initiatives and the ground moving forward. Support the process of cascading all guest experience and product innovations to operational teams to ensure brand alignment and on-brand execution.
  • Create graphs and visuals for reporting up to the Executive level and deliver presentations as required to build buy-in and forward motion of the business.
  • Assist Product Managers in the initiation and drive of the onboard product development process with all operational stakeholders. Support the brand approach, strategy, idea generation, organizational buy-in, and final concepts for all new and evolving onboard guest experiences.
  • Provide multi-faceted administrative support to Product Managers to ensure effective optimization of schedules, ensuring productive interactions with all department leads. Assist in managing multi-dimensional project plans and maintaining project plans/workstreams and planning for key strategic company projects and deadlines.
  • Support the day-to-day administrational needs of the department and handle a wide range of administrative and support tasks, initiate and implement processes to manage projects, information, and people.
  • Work closely with the Marketing Communications team, Public Relations, Creative Agencies and Revenue Management to share relevant data capture and build into all future and ongoing product development.
  • Identify clear short and long-term project plans and effectively manage complex timelines and deliverables.
  • Foster a highly collaborative team dynamic and approach that connect various disciplines from internal partners, external partners, brand partners and Newbuild to ensure alignment, visibility, and a long-term successful product development process.

Competency

Education: Bachelor's degree (Master preferred) from an accredited university or college in Business Marketing, Mathematics, Hospitality or business-related field.

Experience and Qualification: Candidate must possess the following:

  • Minimum of four years experience as an analyst in business, product development, or luxury operations organization
  • 3+ years' experience in data mining
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in mathematics. Ability to translate complex mathematical information into meaningful reporting and presentations
  • Highly proficient in oral and written communication skills. Logical and critical thinking comes naturally
  • Superior time management and organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage in a fast-paced international environment
  • Highly advanced written English communication skills. This includes the ability to prepare advanced written communication; interpret and analyze advanced reports, produce documents and presentations; and manage a large volume of written communication, either digitally or in hard copy
  • Possesses strategic acumen with the ability to execute necessary deliverables
  • Meticulous in focus around attention to detail and follow through
  • Trustworthy, high ethical standards, ability to work autonomously and maintain a high degree of confidentiality
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, SharePoint, Smartsheet, PowerPoint and Project design software

Work Environment

The position requires working in a typical office environment as well as onboard and requires 25-35% travel annually.
