Senior Analyst - Remote

The Opportunity:

TrueCar seeks a detail-oriented and strategic-minded Senior Analyst to join our Analytics team. This role requires a proven ability to manage complex data analysis, deliver actionable insights, and collaborate cross-functionally to drive business growth. Reporting to the Director, Analytics,  you will bridge Data and business/functional teams transforming business questions into data-driven insights shaping roadmaps and supporting business decisions.

How you will contribute to TrueCar’s success:

Data Analysis & Insight Development

• Design and execute complex queries to extract and analyze data from various sources to address specific business and ad hoc needs.
• Translate business questions into analytical solutions that guide growth opportunities and address business challenges.
• Create insight packages and presentations independently, ensuring clarity and alignment with strategic goals.
• Generate visualizations and reporting layouts to synthesize complex data and convey the themes and conclusions of key metrics
• Build narratives through data that highlight key findings and provide business value.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

• Partner with cross-functional teams, including Product, Marketing, and Data Engineering, to align insights with broader business objectives.
• Collaborate with data teams to define and implement data requirements related to business goals.
• Communicate insights effectively with Manager and Director-level stakeholders, adapting content to the audience and translating complex or ambiguous analyses into actionable findings
• Develop insights and set up reporting for external clients to support business partners in the maintenance and growth of TrueCar’s business partnerships

Project Management

• Effectively manage multiple projects of moderate complexity simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery with minimal oversight.
• Initiate and manage new projects independently, developing frameworks and methodologies to achieve desired outcomes.
• Coordinate between business partners and data teams to define requirements, assess priorities, and generate project timelines

Your Expertise:  

• Proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau or similar tools)
• Expertise in Microsoft Office and G-Suite tools
• Advanced-level analytical skills with the ability to gather, organize, and interpret data to deliver actionable insights
• Solid understanding of Google Analytics (GA)
• Ability to act as a bridge between technical and business teams ensuring insights tie into business actions
• Proven ability to work on cross-functional teams and guide roadmaps or business activities
• Excellent verbal and written communication and storytelling skills with the ability to synthesize insights into compelling narratives
• Impeccable organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
• Familiarity with tools like Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, Python, or R preferred
• Knowledge of or experience within the automotive industry or online marketplaces preferred

Base salary: $88,000 - $115,000
