Senior Analyst, Sales

The Role

MarketAxess’ growing Data Sales team is looking for a highly motivated person to join as a Senior Analyst, Sales covering our desktop applications suite, data sales reporting, and sales support. Our clients are highly active on MarketAxess applications every day and will span organizational roles such as trading, portfolio management, sales, risk, and technology. MarketAxess’ desktop data applications are a core revenue generator for our business and the goal in this role will be to support senior team members develop client relationships, increase engagement with existing users, and eventually touch commercial business.  The role will be primarily focused on supporting our desktop solutions for existing and prospective users within MarketAxess’ client base, supporting technical issues, and overseeing team reporting processes at month-end.  Successful candidates will progress into a more seasoned data sales role selling MarketAxess’ bulk data offerings.

How You'll Help Take Us There

• Support our sales team with customer onboarding, relationship management, and the training of new users of our desktop data solutions.
• Obtain knowledge of the MarketAxess platform and key products
• Strategize alongside our sales team as they create and deliver external messaging. 
• Create and run reports on platform data, analyze performance and build internal and client presentations. 
• Conduct weekly mock demos and aid in prospecting new customers.
• Attend meetings and events with our existing sales team, such as: weekly update meetings, client calls, semi-annual strategy and goal setting meetings.  

What We’re Looking for  

• 1+ years of experience in financial services; sales or operations experience from a broker/dealer or relevant experience working for a fixed income electronic trading venue preferred
• Entry level knowledge of the fixed income markets, preferably investment grade, high yield, emerging markets, leveraged loans, credit derivatives and/or fixed income ETFs
• Results driven and detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously
• Ability to interact with customers and senior leaders
• Strong relationship builder who values giving and receiving feedback and is eager to learn
• Strong MS Office skills, including Excel, PowerPoint and Word
• Ability to function well in a competitive, challenging environment, and the ability to deal with changing priorities 
• Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Complete requisite FINRA General Securities Representative Examinations (SIE, Series 7 and 63)
• Knowledge of SQL Query and Programming/Coding is a plus

For job positions in NYC, NY, and other locations where required, the estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $65,000 USD to $85,000 USD. Actual salary may vary depending on job-related factors, which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. You may also be eligible for annual cash incentives, equity, and other benefit programs.
