Senior Analyst - SAP

Eli Lilly and Company has an opening for Senior Analyst - SAP in Indianapolis, IN.

The purpose of this position within the Finance Business Process Knowledge Center (BPKC) is to provide technical and business process support for General Accounting and Intercompany process. The Finance BPKC is responsible for providing business process and SAP training, consulting, high-level problem resolution, and process improvements recommendations to leverage the use of SAP and global tools such as Winshuttle and Blackline, to make General Accounting and Intercompany business processes more efficient and effective. The responsibilities listed below translate into approximately the following level of engagement: 50% project work, 35% operational support, and 15% training/knowledge transfer. During the SAP S/4 HANA implementation (Project Nexus) certain BPKC roles will fully or partially be transferred into the project. This may mean a stronger focus on project work and less involvement in operational support for the duration of the project. The extend of involvement is driven by project demand and may vary over the course of the Nexus implementation. In short, the position responsibilities focus on the usability of the SAP system by our GBS, Corporate Functions, and country affiliate personnel. Telecommuting permitted, must reside in the Indianapolis, IN metropolitan area. Reports to Lilly Corporate Center, Indianapolis, IN. Up to 20% international travel required to drive project delivery at other Lilly locations. Any interested applicant may submit a resume on this site.

Job Requirements:

Position requires a Master's degree in Information Systems, Finance or related, with SAP certification, and one year of work experience.

Work experience must have included:

  • Broad business processes in Finance or General Accounting including experience with US-GAAP Accounting Standards in combination with experience appropriately diagnosing complex SAP and business problems, selecting or creating appropriate alternative solutions, and effectively implementing the appropriate solution;
  • Working with cross-functional teams and non-technical audiences, also in a virtual team environment with multiple internal and external contacts;
  • Leadership experience inside and outside the classroom or workplace; and
  • Presenting results or training people in multiple ways such as in person presentations and training and also via virtual meetings utilizing modern presentation and training tools.
