The Consumer Banking team, within the Global Consumer Services Group (GCSG) at American Express, was created to meet the financial services needs of our customers and build upon a broader Membership promise. This new and growing team will drive AXP's innovation in banking services, identifying customer needs and innovating around new digital banking products that deliver differentiated value. How will you make an impact in this role?
The Analyst / Senior Analyst, Savings Product Management will be an essential part of the core team responsible for ongoing management and evolution of our Amex Savings products, including our High Yield Savings Account and Certificates of Deposit. Our team is accountable for driving business outcomes and managing the end-to-end customer experience for Amex Savings products, ensuring that the customer is central to every part of our business while also ensuring proper controls and compliance are always in place. This role is focused on providing critical support needed to manage our existing products including managing key projects and processes that enable on-going product optimization, product enhancements and customer experience improvements. The person in this role will have a direct impact on our business and customers and play a key role in implementing priorities and product changes across the product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Own key projects to optimize and manage our Savings product portfolio, coordinating with cross-functional stakeholders and ensuring high quality and timely deliverables
- Develop understanding of and drive clear documentation around customer journeys and product processes that support our customers, championing best-in-class experiences and finding opportunities for improvement
- Assist in the development and analysis of key performance indicators and business scorecard for our HYSA and CD products
- Partner with Analytics, Digital Product and Servicing teams to monitor product and feature performance, and customer insights to inform optimization and roadmap opportunities
- Partner with our call center and operations teams on call center talking points, training and procedure updates to support the product roadmap and business initiatives, ensuring clarity, accuracy and timeliness of information
- Gain exposure to product features and functionality across the product lifecycle and provide critical support across the Product Management team to execute on product changes and business priorities
Minimum Qualifications
We are seeking a highly motivated, aspiring product professional with:
- 1-3 years experience as a product, business or marketing analyst
- Ability to demonstrate an understanding of business and customer needs
- Highly detail-oriented, analytical and strong organizational skills with ability to own multiple priorities under time constraints
- Written and verbal communications skills and ability to create clear and structured project documentation
- Interpersonal and collaboration skills with success working across functions
- Experience leading projects and initiatives with minimal direction
- Comfortable with ambiguity and managing though change
- Comfortable working in more sophisticated technical and regulatory environments
- Positive "roll-up your sleeves" attitude and "start-up" mentality
- Flexibility to adapt as organization grows and evolves
Salary Range: $55,000.00 to $105,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
