Senior Analyst, Strategic Finance

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Senior Analyst to join our team and play a crucial role solving some of Boomi’s most pressing business problems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and senior leadership to vet investment ideas, drive financial planning, and assist in capital allocation decisions. We’re looking for someone with a strong analytical mind, who can approach problems in a structured manner, and is able to distil key findings effectively to an executive-level audience. This is a high visibility role where you’ll get exposure to many facets of the business and be focused on some of our highest-priority investments. This role will report to the Director of Strategic Finance at Boomi.

What you'll do:

• Guide strategic investments: Evaluate potential strategic investments, identifying new opportunities the company should prioritize and pursue, as well as validate the ROI on existing programs, to ultimately inform capital allocation decisions. Conduct thorough financial due diligence, including market research, financial modeling, and risk assessments to provide data-driven recommendations
• Valuation analysis: Perform valuation analyses for potential M&A, utilizing various methodologies such as DCF, comparable company analysis, and precedent transactions. Play a supporting role to our Strategy team
• Annual and long-range planning: Lead the budgeting process in close partnership with our FP&A leads, working with department heads to set financial targets and regularly assess performance against those targets
• Market research and benchmarking: Stay current on industry trends and the competitive landscape, providing insights on market dynamics and their impact on the company's financial strategy. Benchmark Boomi against high-growth peers and provide guidance to our executives
• Prepare executive and investor-facing materials: Highlight weekly, monthly, and quarterly business performance, identifying key risks and opportunities
• Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with other departments such as Sales, Marketing, Strategy, R&D, etc. to align financial goals with overall business objectives Partner with executive leadership teams to build consistent and concise reporting frameworks that highlight key performance metrics across our customer base

The experience you bring:

• BA/BS degree
• 4+ years experience in private equity, investment banking, equity research, consulting, or strategic finance roles
• Proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Experience guiding and crafting a story out of data; excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders
• Familiarity with software company financial metrics and KPIs
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Bonus points if you have:

• Public SaaS exposure with in-depth knowledge of the technology software industry and current market trends
• Experience using financial data providers such as Pitchbook, Bloomberg, and FactSet
• MBA or CFA

Boomi is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Base compensation for this position begins at $114,492 annually + applicable bonus. This position is remote-friendly and, as such, final compensation will be determined by various factors including the candidate’s knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location.
