Job Description

Under general supervision, role is responsible for the completion of the daily operational Execution tasks associated with the placing and processing of Mutual Fund and Collective Investment Trust Trades. Carries out complex activities with significant financial, client, and/or internal business impact to enable trading of client positions as needed. Candidate should display ability and motivation to develop into a process subject matter expert and while maintaining composure in a deadline driven environment common with trade execution. Will support the research and resolution of complex inquiries and escalations under the direct supervision of more experience team members. Role will support critical manual processes and while maintain high levels of quality standards supporting both Custody and Defined Contribution/Daily Valuation clients.

Responsibilities

1. Responsible for the completion of the daily operational Trade Execution tasks associated with the processing of Mutual Fund and Collective Investment Trust transactions

2. Manual agreement and matching of trades with counterparties, any resultant issues to be investigated and communicated to relevant partners

3. Completion of the relevant documentation to facilitate the execution of Mutual Fund and Collective Investment Trust transactions, Monitoring of outstanding transactions and providing status updates until completion

4. Working with both internal and external partners to ensure satisfactory and timely resolution of client queries, client communication and Daily Data Quality with respect to Mutual Fund and Collective Investment Trust products and services which include UVRS trading and the Liquidity Analysis Tool product as examples

5. Supports Manager and team leaders in ensuring operational efficiency, focuses on the day-to-day operation of the department

6. Carries out complex activities with significant financial, client, and/or internal business impact with a high degree of commitment and attention to detail

7. Able to facilitate discussions and reach decisions under pressure and tight timeframes working with more experienced partners.

  1. A College or University degree and/or some relevant work experience is required. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required
  2. Knowledge of the Asset Servicing environment is required
  3. Analytical and problem solving skills are required with partner displaying sound judgement and application of common sense in decision making
  4. Risk awareness and risk management skills with the ability to proactively address issues and escalate as appropriate with a strong attention to detail & accuracy
  5. Comfort operating in a deadline driven environment maintaining composure under pressure
  6. Solid expertise and comfort utilizing Excel/Team/SharePoint applications
  7. Hungry and driven toward learning and continuous improvement in skill and process knowledge
