Senior Analytics Manager - Research
Job Description
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution is seeking an experienced and dynamic Seniro Manager Research to join our Analytics and Research team. In this role, you will be instrumental in guiding our digital transformation journey. We are in search of a strategic thinker and visionary leader capable of establishing and overseeing a comprehensive research infrastructure and framework that spans all facets of our business, with a primary emphasis on audience strategy and development. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including newsroom, product and platforms, brand and growth marketing, customer service, and finance, you will drive data-informed decision-making processes, optimize user experiences, and capitalize on growth opportunities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 8 years' experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and 6 years' experience; a Ph.D. and 3 years' experience in a related field; or 20 years' experience in a related field
- 3+ years' experience in management or leadership role
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in qualitative and quantitative research methods
- Requires strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SPSS, SAS, etc.

- Excellent leadership and Collaborative skills skills to work effectively with teams throughout organization
- Strategic mindset with a track record of driving business impact through research initiatives.
- Experience in market sizing analysis, user experience research, and product development.
- Familiarity with survey design, statistical analysis, and data visualization tools.
Preferred
- 7 years+ experience in in a research role within a media or digital organization with experience in a leadership role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of research professionals in designing research methodologies, incorporating A/B testing methodologies where applicable, developing data collection strategies, and constructing analysis frameworks all to guarantee the generation of robust and insightful outcomes.
- Lead efforts to deeply understand our audience, work with teams to develop personas and segments based on research discovering their behaviors, preferences, and needs.
- Utilize insights to inform audience targeting strategies, develop personas, audience segments, and personalization best practices to aid in content development and engagement initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with teams to translate research findings into actionable strategies, influencing product roadmaps and feature prioritization to drive continuous improvement and innovation, ultimately increasing user satisfaction and retention.
- Conduct in-depth assessments to gauge the audience's propensity and willingness to invest in premium content and services, thereby informing strategic decisions regarding product offerings and revenue generation.
USD 129,100.00 - 215,100.00 per year
Compensation:
Compensation includes a base salary of $129,100.00 - $215,100.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.
