Senior Android Engineer

You'll be among the first mobile engineers to join the team and work with the founders to define future product directions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Transform visiting the eye doctor into an enjoyable and delightful experience for a BILLION people
• Design, implement, and test brand new user-facing product features having top-line business and performance impact
• Tackle challenges to provide responsive and engaging customer experiences while ensuring user data is being handled securely and with care
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to peers
• Work closely with our product and design teams to build new and innovative application experiences for Android
• Build reusable Android software components for interfacing with our back-end platforms
• Implement custom native user interfaces using the latest Android programming techniques
• Experience shipping one or more Android apps (Kotlin), ideally currently available in the Google Play Store

REQUIRMENTS

• BS/MS in CS, related technical field, or equivalent industry experience
• 5+ years of object-oriented software development experience
• 3+ years experience building Android applications in Kotlin using Android SDK
• Experience building maintainable and testable code bases, including API design and unit testing techniques
• Experience with multithreading programming and mobile memory management
