The Position:

As an Andriod Software Engineer, you will help us build our new Ads Team at GameChanger. We need your expertise to architect our ads features, tooling and shared frameworks. By contributing your expertise, writing code, and making architectural decisions on a team of Product Managers, Designers, QA Analysts, and Engineers, you'll have a significant impact on GameChanger's bottom line. You will report to one of the Engineering Managers.

What You'll Do:

  • Build features, tooling and shared frameworks to test and display advertising in our mobile applications.

  • Collaborate with peers on critical decisions about how our applications are architected and built.Β 

  • Team up with designers, testers, and product managers to find the best solutions for our customers.

  • Facilitate knowledge sharing and learning with engineers across the company.Β 

  • Promote responsible engineering practices.

Who You Are:

  • Solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals with 5+ years of Android development.

  • Experience shipping successful, beautiful, high-quality Android projects.

  • Passion and experience working with the latest Android tech.

  • Comfortable working in a cross-functional product team.

  • Experience mentoring engineers.

  • Experience with leading and organizing complex technical projects.

Experience:

  • Deep experience with the Kotlin programming language.

  • Experience with Android Jetpack Compose, Kotlin Coroutines, Dagger, Retrofit, RxJava/RxKotlin and Firebase are all pluses.

  • Your team will also do iOS development in Swift , so having background there would be a bonus, but is not required.

  • Our backend APIs are built with TypeScript, Node.js, Redis, Kafka, and PostgreSQL and run in AWS. While it's not required that you know these, we prefer that you are open to full-stack development.

  • Familiarity with ad technologies, such as ad serving, programmatic advertising, or mobile advertising is a plus.

  • Familiarity with streaming and video technology is a plus.

The target salary range for this position is between $105,000 and $210,000. This is part of a competitive total rewards package that includes incentive, equity, and benefits for eligible roles. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations. We review all teammate pay regularly to ensure competitive and fair pay.

GameChanger (a subsidiary of DICK’S Sporting Goods) has company-wide practices to monitor and protect the company from significant compliance and monetary implications as it pertains to employer state tax liabilities. Due to said guidelines put in place, we are unable to hire in AK, DE, HI, IA, LA, MS, MT, OK, and SC.

Compensation Range: $100K - $210K
