Role Overview

Android Engineers play a key role in the Coupang Play product organization. From contributing to product development on the Android Platform to understanding our customer experience, this role is central for the development of our Android app.

What You Will Do

• Support entire application lifecycle (concept, design, develop, test, release)
• Work with third party development vendors and partners
• Perform code reviews and adhere to best coding practices
• Develop technical documentation

Basic Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience on Android related products
• Hands-on programming in Android mobile app development
• Experienced in both Kotlin and Java
• Experienced in architecture pattern like MVVM, MVP
• Experienced in Jetpack libraries (Room, Paging, Lifecycle, LiveData, Databinding, ViewModel, AppCompat, Fragment etc)
• Experienced in asynchronous programming (Coroutine, RxJava)
• Developed at least 2 apps, with at least 1 available in Google Play Store 

Preferred Qualifications

• Experienced in customizing Exoplayer and maintaining middleware interfacing with Exoplayer
• Experienced in MPEG-DASH, Widevine DRM, offline playback, Chromecast SDK
• Experienced in tests with JUnit, Robolectric, MockK, Espresso
• Experienced in OTT apps and Android TV
