Freshop is a wholly owned subsidiary of NCR providing e-Commerce solutions for retailers around the world. In this exciting role you will join Freshop's DevOps / SRE team in development and operation of the next generation of e-Commerce solutions.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with front-end developers, architects, and DevOps to develop and extend our cutting-edge online grocery platform
• Design, build and optimize new features, functions, and integrations utilizing the Agile development process.

Requirements

• Knowledge of query languages, APIs, data pipelines, and how to work with them in practice
• Strong software development fundamentals, data structures, design patterns
• Strong knowledge of structured databases
• Experience working in Unix based environments.
• Ability to analyze a feature story and design a robust and complete solution for it.
• Excellent debugging skills
• Write well-designed, well-documented, reliable code that you or others will find easy to understand and modify now and into the future.
• Comfortable with Linux commands and tools.
• Comfortable implementing integrations with third-party systems using HTTP and XML.
• Experience utilizing IDE, source control, debugger, continuous testing, and build automation
• Communicate well whether you're patiently helping a user, explaining a design to your colleagues, working with customers or creating documentation

Preferred Skills and Experience

• BS or MS Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field
• 5+ years of experience in software engineering or development operations
• 3+ years of API Development experience
• 3+ years of experience working with GCP infrastructure/network is a plus
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Working knowledge of microservices, cloud hosted services, and cloud deployment models
