With a mission to transform the healthcare industry we at Kontakt.io are thrilled to present an exceptional opportunity for a Senior API Engineer to join our dynamic team.

You will work closely with business product and engineering team members to prototype design scope implement test and support new features related to a platform that

- collects processes and analyzes real-time location and electronic health record data at scale using statistical and AI/ML techniques

- exposes the insights and structured access to the above data streams for other applications (internal and external) to consume and build user-facing products via APIs

You will work in a small cross-functional team that owns product development from design implementation testing delivery and support.

Desired Skills

• 4+ years of experience developing backend systems and APIs using Python or Golang

• 2+ years of experience doing project management for scoping planning and tracking progress of software projects

• 4+ years of experience designing and implementing unit integration and end to end tests

• 2+ years mentoring other engineers on best practices for software development

• 2+ years of experience with writing and maintaining infrastructure as code (e.g. Terraform C9 or Plumi) for backend services

• 2+ years of experience designing implementing and supporting software systems that deal with sensitive data

• 1+ year experience as a member of an on-call rotation for production systems

• Ability and willingness to build rough prototypes / demos that include both backend and frontend components for use in validating product and engineering ideas

• Don’t need to be able to build pixel perfect UIs with stylish design just something functional

• Strong willing and consistent verbal and written communicator
