Senior API Software Engineer (Financial Services)

PreciseSource, a nationwide search firm is actively recruiting for a Senior Software Engineer with full stack development experience to join for our client, a global financial data management company located in NYC. The Senior Engineer will work on a small team focused on building the financial analytics APIs for the global company. Interested candidates must have a Masters Degree and 4-5 years of development experience (language agnostic) within the financial services industry, preferably back-end development. This is a hybrid role (one to two days a week onsite) with a very flexible schedule regarding work from home. No relocation assistance is provided, local candidates are preferred. Our client is offering a base salary up to $195,000 plus an annual bonus opportunity of 20%-40% as well as 25 days PTO, 401K match, excellent benefits and career growth. This is a full-time W2 permanent position, please no third party applicants. Role Responsibilities • Design, build, & maintain efficient and reliable API services using well-adapted software design principles to build high quality and resilient software • Build & maintain testing frameworks crafting unit & integration tests to ensure software quality and requirements • Architect new applications while capturing user feed back using that to efficiently provide user improvements • Staying abreast of the latest developments in web applications and programming languages to meet the needs of a constantly evolving system Required Skills: • Master’s degree in computer science, Engineering and related field • 4+ years of experience leading full-stack development, with a focus on backend development • Strong experience in building Framework and APIs • Prior Financial Services experience preferred • Strong experience with CI/CD, unit testing framework and automation (testing/deployment) in cloud platforms • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues • Willingness to learn and work with new technologies across the full stack with an ability to work independently • Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate optimally with cross-functional teams across multiple regions and timezones • Experience with Redis Cache is a plus Job Type: Full-time Pay: $170,000.00 - $195,000.00 per year Benefits: • 401(k) • 401(k) matching • Dental insurance • Flexible schedule • Health insurance • Life insurance • Paid time off • Vision insurance Schedule: • Monday to Friday Education: • Master's (Preferred) Experience: • Full stack development with a focus on backend development: 4 years (Preferred) • Financial services industry: 1 year (Preferred) Ability to Commute: • New York, NY 10005 (Preferred) Work Location: Hybrid remote in New York, NY 10005
