The RoleÂ
The Sr. Application Analyst plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions at GTI. This role will be hands on with our business applications, and will be responsible to understand, document, and support optimized configuration for CPG/Manufacturing systems. The Sr. Application Analyst also acts as a technical lead in new capability development and will be leading the requirements gathering, functional design as well as functional and regression testing.  Â
This position requires travel up to 25% to our CPG/manufacturing sites across the US.Â
ResponsibilitiesÂ- Drive requirements gathering and analysis sessions with cross-functional business partners for multiple complex initiativesÂ
- Develop technical documentation, playbooks, and knowledge base articles for core systems. Â
- Lead analysis of process flows, data models, and system functionalities to identify bottlenecks, pain points, and areas of potential improvement.Â
- Execute solution design and evaluation of multiple large complex applicationsÂ
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize improvement opportunities based on business impact, feasibility, and resource availability.Â
- Configure software applications to align with business processes and requirements. This may involve modifying application settings, workflows, forms, and reports.Â
- Lead and provide expertise in functional testing, regression testing, and QA review of our internal and third-party applications Â
- Develop timelines, milestones, budgets, and estimates for small to mid scale projects.Â
- Manage and track progress of enhancements and multiple large complex projects for new capabilities Â
- Engage with senior business and IT stakeholders to facilitate effective communicationÂ
- Act as level 3 Application support for primary business applicationsÂ
- Acts as a mentor to junior business analyst(s)Â
- 5+ years' experience as a business system analyst working with retail or CPG systems.Â
- Demonstrated history of applying analytical thinking and problem-solving skills in previous roles.Â
- Deep knowledge and experience in business analysis methodologies and technology deliveryÂ
- Strong technical background and comfort troubleshooting reported issues/bugs for internal and SaaS applicationsÂ
- Project management and organization skills to manage multiple large projects and maintain visibility of project status to involved stakeholdersÂ
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and facilitation abilities with all levels of the organization, including at the executive levelÂ
Preferred QualificationsÂ
- 3+ years of experience with ERP solution in Manufacturing, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365Â
- Experience in Agile Development, application of Agile techniques and delivery practicesÂ
- Strong understanding of CPG retail, wholesale, manufacturing, and related supply chain & finance functions, and processesÂ
- Must pass any and all required background checks Â
- Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry Â
- Must possess valid driver’s licenseÂ
- Must be a minimum of 21 years of ageÂ
- Must be approved by state badging agency to work in cannabis industry
