The Senior Application Architect designs and develops IT applications architecture solutions to business problems in alignment with the enterprise architecture direction and standards. The Senior Application Architect work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
Responsibilities
The Senior Application Architect performs technical planning, architecture development and modification of specifications for new products/services, applications and service offerings. This teams is a progressive mainframe COBOL environment today with some open source technologies. The group continues to aggressively enhance the current systems and look to the future of Cloud Technology. The ideal candidate knows mainframe and has moved or created applications using Cloud Technology. The team meets in the office three days per week and shares knowledge and participates in quarterly non-work activities. Must be passionate about work, a continual learner, and an agent of change.

Responsibilities Include:
- Assesses the compatibility and integration of products/services proposed as standards in order to ensure an integrated architecture across interdependent applications.
- Begins to influence department's strategy.
- Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction.
- Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.
Required Qualifications
- Must be willing to work a hybrid schedule, working on-site in Louisville 3 days per week
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent work experience
- 7 or more experience as a senior developer in large IT projects
- Cobol experience and knowledge of Cloud technologies
- Prior project architect and/or team lead experience
- Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree

Work-At-Home Requirements
- Must have the ability to provide a high speed DSL or cable modem for a home office. Associates or contractors who live and work from home in the state of California will be provided payment for their internet expense.
- A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 25x10 (25mpbs download x 10mpbs upload) is required.
- Satellite and Wireless Internet service is NOT allowed for this role.
- A dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information
