Job Description: InterImage is seeking a Joint Operation Planning and Execution System Senior Applications developer in Arlington, VA with 12+ years of application development experience.

Essential Job Functions

• Provides technical expertise for the Joint Operation Planning and Execution System (JOPES) for coordination of force deployments of joint task force units.
• Responsible for development and improvements to software used in the creation and execution of tasked unit deployment plans
• Develops and maintains software modules used to automate military deployments

Requirements

• Experience developing using Java, Oracle WebLogic and Oracle databases
• Experience developing using Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies.
• Knowledge of GCCS, JOPES, and Newsgroups (Newsgroup is a Plus)
• Knowledge of DoD and interagency policies and procedures
• Ability to exercise leadership skill in guiding a diverse group of high-level participants with a common goal, but with sometimes-conflicting priorities, philosophies, processes, etc.
• Ability to gather, assemble, and analyze facts, draw conclusions conduct analysis, devise recommended solutions, and package the entire process in briefings, papers, or reports
• Can apply analytical and evaluative methods and techniques to issues affecting the usability, reliability, performance, and overall quality of software tools used for military deployment planning and execution
• Familiarity with policies and procedures used by military forces in deployment planning and execution
