Senior Application Developer (React Native) | (Contract)

We are looking for a Senior developer proficient in React Native to be part of a mobile app development project.  You will be working with a team of talented developers designers and product/project managers. You will have the opportunity to leverage AI tools such as Cursor Claude Code Builder.io while you work in a highly collaborative Agile team. You will participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle while solving challenging technical problems for our clients.

Information Security Responsibilities

• Promote and enforce awareness of key information security practices including acceptable use of information assets malware protection and password security protocols
• Identify assess and report security risks focusing on how these risks impact the confidentiality integrity and availability of information assets
• Understand and evaluate how data is stored processed or transmitted ensuring compliance with data privacy and protection standards (GDPR CCPA etc.)
• Ensure data protection measures are integrated throughout the information lifecycle to safeguard sensitive information

Role and Responsibilities:

• Create effectively tested re-usable and efficient TypeScript/React Native code 
• Develop mission critical user experiences
• Work collaboratively with a team in an Agile environment
• Be a critical team member from the ideation alignment and discover phases of the project all the way to release and support of the mobile application.
• Support continuous improvement by staying up to date on front-end technology

Preferred Qualifications:

• The ideal candidate will have a 2- or 4-year degree in CS/Engineering be a bootcamp grad or be self-taught with practical experience
• 5+ years of professional programming experience
• Hands-on React Native development experience
• Experience writing unit tests with React Testing Library or equivalent tools
• Experience developing to inclusive design best practices up to and beyond meeting WCAG standards
• Familiarity with Git 
• Experience working in an agile environment (Scrum preferred) as part of a cross-functional team
• Strong communication skills
• Experience with AI development
