The Senior Application Developer provides top quality solutions that meet application solution needs of Elevations Credit Union business line departments. This is a senior level role that serves as an expert on utilization of a sound software development life cycle practices. Translating software requirements into well-designed solutions; working with 'off the shelf' software, modifying it and integrating it into the existing architecture; and maintaining programs for business applications.
Essential Functions include:- Utilizes sound software development life cycle (SDLC) practices and accurately follows established procedures for delivering application solutions that support critical business strategies.
- Creates methodologies to standardize the integration of different technologies, standards, processes, tools, and architectures into a stable and effective technology platform.
- Commits application configuration updates to stage / test environment and plans for rollbacks.
- Utilizes expert ability to troubleshoot issues and resolve incidents while communicating with stakeholders.
- Ability to execute on multiple projects within required timelines and expectations and effectively communicate updates with team and management.
- Work closely with suppliers to ensure successful software or hardware implementation and support.
- Prepares documentation and provides user training on new system applications.
- Maintains understanding of the full architecture stack with an ability to communicate effectively on a variety of information technology (IT) topics.
- Identifies and solves technical, process, or interpersonal problems to ensure projects are delivered within required timelines and expectations.
Application Development Manager
Manages:This role does not have supervisory responsibility.
Required Education and Experience:- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work experience.
- Six (6) or more years of experience developing and supporting business applications within a financial institution.
- Five (5) or more years of experience with application development, testing procedures, report writing, systems process design, or equivalent processes.
- Four (4) or more years of experience in SQL development with relational databases.
- Expert level experience in IT solutions, infrastructure, SDLC, testing, security and application administration.
- Additional skills required – fundamental understanding of and experience with at least one of the following areas: Retail Operations, Lending Operations, Financial Backoffice Operations.
- Additional skills required – Experience with financial institution technologies: Jack Henry technologies (Episys, Synapsys, Synergy, ARCU), MeridianLink, Encompass, Digital Insight, Q2, COTS, Image Center, OpCon, etc.
- Familiarity with the Unix operating system, Unix shell scripting, Python, or similar.
- Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or field of study related to the work performed.
- Experience with the Episys application and PowerOn development.
- Ability to program in at least one programming language such as HTML, JavaScript etc.
- Project management experience in an iterative project management methodology.
- Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) certification, or previous work within an ITIL environment.
Elevations uses multi-factor authentication to keep our data safe. As such, a personal smart phone is a requirement for employment with us. This job operates in an office setting and routinely uses standard office equipment.
Physical Requirements:Sitting frequently, walking occasionally, use of hands frequently, hearing constantly, talking frequently, exerting up to 10 lbs of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects.

This role can be performed on site at the location above, or remotely for any individual who resides within Colorado, Wyoming, Oklahoma, Nevada, or North Carolina.
Compensation:For candidates who reside in Colorado, we're willing to pay $125,000+ annually + annual bonus. The candidate's starting salary will be adjusted based upon his, her, or their experience.
