Senior Application Developer (Remote)
Job Description
Role and Responsibilities:
• Responsible for the design, development, testing, deployment, documentation, and maintenance of multiple web-based applications in an agile software environment
• Responsible for identifying, resolving and test defects and respond to customer identified requirements and enhancements
• Responsible for providing technical direction and guidance to software development team members
• Modify existing software and create special-purpose software to ensure efficiency and integrity between systems and applications
• Responsible for providing expert technical advice, guidance and recommendations to management and other technical specialist on critical software issues
• Design, code, test, debug, document, maintain, and modify computer programs of high complexity, significance, and risk
• Guide others through change impact analysis
• Establish, refine and integrate development and test environment tools and software as needed
• Create and recommend improvements to unit, test plans and testing process based on assessment of organizational needs
• Monitor operating efficiency and organizational needs of existing application systems and identify opportunities to fine-tune and optimize applications of developed projects and recommend technical solutions
• Application Maintenance and Enhancement
• Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) Tool Maintenance
• Agile DevSecOps
• Automated Testing Support and Development
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science and 5 years' experience or equivalent years of experience
• Agile DevSecOps with Java and front-end development using modern frameworks like Angular, React or similar frameworks
• Experience in software development fundamentals and assets
• Experience developing and maintaining cloud-native applications using Java, Node.JS or similar language
• Familiarity with Spring boot, Jenkins, and Kubernetes or relates DevSec Ops pipeline technologies
• Proof of US Citizenship and eligibility to apply for a Public Trust Clearance
Preferred Skills:
• Experience in researching legacy codebases and coming up with new solutions
• .NET and PHP experience
• Experience with DevSecOps microservices architecture refactoring containerization RESTful APIs language conversion and database conversion
• Experience working with AWS
• Experience working on an Agile Team
