Senior Application Engineer

Job Mission

Develop application for world's most advanced e-beam inspection/metrology systems to enhance their value. Provide application support to increase the utilization time of high throughput & resolution e-beam system for customer's yield diagnosis and metrology measurement on advanced process technology. Working closely with customer and development engineering, application engineer is responsible for developing application using high resolution, high throughput e-beam systems to provide monitor and control solution for advanced nodes in semi-conductor industries.

Job Description

Responsible for application related documentation, mainly focus on ARS(Application Requirement Spec) preparation, and including Apps note/feature promotion/user manual documentation which release with each main SW build. New feature technical support, knowledge transfer for the field application engineer team and define application spec to make sure business progress and tool penetration is smooth. Meet with internal and external customers to maintain two-way level of commitment to keep all involved parties informed of progress. Coordinate with the various competencies to resolve issues. Work with D&E and competency engineers on feasibility studies to validate potential solutions for ARS preparation. Provide new feature application knowledge transfer for local field application engineers. Travel to ASML branch and customer site is required.

Education

M.S. and above in Mechanics, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Material Science or Chemical Engineering.

Experience

Fast learner with strong self-motivation to grow technically; be able to perform job at high standard with minimum supervision, and demonstrated ability to thrive in a high pressure and fast paced environment.

Experienced in E-beam tool, including Review SEM, TEM. Familiar with Semiconductor manufacturing and process flow. Experienced on yield engineering in Semiconductor industry. Excellent communication/written skills in English. Familiar in wafer CD Metrology/Overlay and Litho process is a plus.

The current base annual salary range for this role is currently $136,125-$226,875. Pay scales are determined by role, level, location and alignment with market data. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of several factors that that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, relevant education and experience, certifications, abilities of the candidate and pay relative to other team members.
