Senior Application Engineer
Job Description

Responsibilities:
- Engage with our customers to provide technical guidance, assistance, and prototype proof-of-concept projects
- Provide onsite and/or remote technical training, configuration/code review, architecture and design guidance, debugging of complex distributed systems and more.
- Triage customer issues both onsite and remotely, and find timely solutions.
- Work with our development team and Product Management to help improve our products.
- Ensure customer success with RTI technology.
Skills & Experience:
- Degree in Computer Science, EE/CE, or related field (Advanced degree preferred).Â
- 5+ years of work experience.
- Solid understanding of operating system and networking fundamentals.
- Experience writing and debugging code.
- Excellent debugging skills in a wide variety of technologies, networking protocols, operating systems and programming languages.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Positive, proactive, and results oriented - great at solving problems.
- Exceptional team player who collaborates well and can also work independently in a deadline driven environment.
- Interested in working directly with customers to ensure their success.
- Intellectually curious with a desire and ability to master new technologies.
- Ability to work successfully in a highly distributed team.
- Must be able to travel to work onsite with our customers.
Nice to have:
- Experience with DDS.
- Experience with distributed systems.
- Experience with RTOS’s.
- Experience with messaging technologies (e.g. MQTT, Apache Kafka, etc).
