Senior Application Support Engineer

We are seeking a dedicated Senior Application Support Engineer to join our team and provide top-tier support for our critical applications.

The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of expertise in application monitoring, scripting, and systems administration to effectively troubleshoot, optimize, and ensure the smooth operation of our applications.
The remote option applies only to the Candidates who will be working from any location in Ukraine.

Responsibilities

• Monitor application performance and configure SCOM for advanced application monitoring
• Script solutions and automate tasks using PowerShell
• Administer and maintain Windows environments to ensure optimal performance
• Employ advanced troubleshooting skills to identify, investigate, and resolve issues promptly
• Work independently on high-level tasks with minimal guidance
• Communicate technical information effectively with team members and stakeholders
• Provide emergency support during off hours when necessary
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance application reliability and performance
• Continuously update technical documentation related to application configurations and procedures
• Participate in on-call rotations to ensure coverage and support

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in Application Support
• Expertise in SCOM configuration and administration
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting
• Background in Windows administration
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Flexibility to work without clear instructions on high-level tasks
• Background as a skilled MS Systems Engineer with familiarity with Azure infrastructure
• Good communication skills and proficiency in English at B1 level
• Skills in writing technical documentation in English

Nice to have

• Competency in virtualization technologies including Hyper-V, VMWare, and Failover clustering
• Knowledge of MS System Center products including SCOM, SCCM, SCO, and SC HVMM
• Understanding of NTFS, Jenkins, Office 365, and Microsoft Exchange
• Qualifications in ITIL Foundation, familiarity with ServiceNOW and Asset Management (CMDB)
• Understanding of bare-metal infrastructure, networks, and databases
