Senior Applied Research Engineer - Needham MA
At SharkNinja we build products that improve people's lives every day. Our engineers don't just design - they prototype test iterate and watch their work land on shelves worldwide. We're looking for a Senior Applied Research Engineer to join our New Product Development team and help push the boundaries of what consumer products can do.
What You'll Do

• Lead hands-on design and development of consumer products from concept through launch and support
• Work daily with cross-functional engineering and product teams to understand system performance and tradeoffs
• Drive brainstorming sessions build proof-of-concept prototypes and run rigorous tests
• Mentor mechanical engineers co-ops and interns
• See your work come to life - in stores online and in homes around the world

What You Bring

• BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years of product design and development experience
• Strong intuition for physics and engineering fundamentals - equally at home running an experiment as reviewing data
• Proficiency in SolidWorks or CREO; comfort with Excel Minitab or MATLAB for data analysis
• Hands-on prototyping skills: 3D printing machining hand tools and clean assembly work
• Experience designing and executing controlled experiments in a lab setting
• Clear communicator who can translate technical findings for any audience

Bonus Points

• Background at a consumer product or consulting firm
• Experience with electronics sensors motors heaters or PCBAs
• Proven ability to juggle multiple projects without losing sight of long-term goals

Salary and Other Compensation: The annual salary range for this position is displayed below. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market skills education experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
