You will perform the role of a Senior Architect on a large federal program that is blazing new tech trails at the agency and department levels taking business requirements and transforming them into new software solutions using the latest technology from the company!!
- This position requires direct communications with our customers to "sell" and defend design choices. Therefore, you must have the ability to be consultative (e.g., play the role of a "trusted advisor") and work in complex teams which include customers, other contractors, and senior-to-C suite level staff within Next Phase and the federal government.
- Design technical solutions: You will architect a fully cloud-based solution that complies with federal IT standards and continually improve it.
- Software Development: You will write software code daily.
- Ensure Design Integrity: You will collaborate with the software development team to ensure a suitable translation of the architectural solution into a robust and effective implementation.
- Reporting: This position falls within our Information Technology Practice Solutions Engineering Team Architecture and Design, reporting functionally to the Corporation's Chief Architect. The IT Practice is responsible for supporting our internal and external customers. This position is 100% billable, with program tasking coming from the Next Phase Program Technical Lead/Deputy Program Manager leading the federal program.
Requirements
- 12+ years overall experience designing, building, and operating complex data ecosystems for federal use
- Hands-on experience with designing the architecture and subsystems of an AWS-native federal enterprise data management system with near real-time data operations, entity resolution and data mastering, data security, metadata catalogs, plain language catalogs, data lake structures, etc. to enable data-as-as-service across multiple healthcare data domains
- Conducted architectural evaluation, analysis, and design of enterprise-wide systems and experienced in the development of all architectural artifacts
- Proven ability to apply Human Centered Design techniques and highly focused on designing systems that provide an engaging and satisfying Customer Experience
- EXPERT-level Cloud Architect skills and experience
- Hands-on Java software development and daily coding required
- Ability to perform hands-on proof of concepts to proposed cloud solutions
- Understand and direct the technical transformation from legacy platforms to modern, cloud-based platforms
- Expert knowledge of the design discipline and use of design tools
- Experience developing and deploying cloud solutions and services designed to scale in the federal sector (preferably HHS/CMS - considered a Plus!)
