Senior Architect - AWS

Introduction
As an IBM Application Architect you directly help clients transform their business  and solve complex problems. You will define the scope and vision for projects that deliver customized solutions using your knowledge of IBM platforms.  You are a technical leader serving as a liaison among business partners technical resources and project stakeholders.

Your Role and Responsibilities
As a critical member of our team the AWS Solution Architect plays a pivotal role in helping clients navigate their business transformations and tackle complex challenges. You will set the direction and scope for projects that deliver bespoke solutions using your comprehensive knowledge of AWS services. Acting as a technical spearhead you will function as a conduit between business partners technical resources and project stakeholders.

Your Role and Responsibilities:

As an AWS Solution Architect your duties will involve:

• Choosing the appropriate AWS services for the conception creation and roll-out of applications based on given needs
• Facilitating the migration of complex multi-layer applications to AWS incorporating AWS’s top security protocols
• Analyzing cloud application requirements and providing architectural advice for implementation deployment and provisioning applications on AWS (e.g. Lambda S3 EC2 RDS Redshift) aligning business aims with architecture/application necessities
• Constructing and maintaining DevSecOps within AWS and Hybrid Cloud structures including monitoring and logging with AWS services (e.g. CloudWatch CloudTrail)
• Serving as the organization’s singular point of contact for AWS Cloud solutioning and delivery
• Dispensing best practice guidance on the architectural design across multiple applications and projects within the enterprise
• Nurturing AWS capabilities within the team
• Guiding both local and remote teams of architects and developers in the solution delivery and governance
• Collaborating with various business units to synchronize and achieve corporate growth goals
• Working with multiple industry teams to encourage reusability and efficiency

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• More than 15 years of experience in IT services across a range of industries
• A minimum of 8 years of experience serving as an Architect in major public cloud Digital transformation platform/products/services
• AWS Solution Architect certification
• At least 5 years of direct experience designing and deploying cloud architecture on AWS
• Experience with container technologies (e.g. Kubernetes Docker)

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Preferred certification in Enterprise Architecture frameworks like TOGAF or equivalent
