Responsibilities 

SambaNova is hiring a Senior ASIC Design Automation Engineer. This is a high-visibility position where you will be at the center of a chip design effort interfacing with many disciplines as we scope and ship products across different customer segments. In this role you will:

• Implement, document, and deploy design automation tools to support the chip development process.
• Develop, update, and optimize the release integration and testing methodology (CI/CD flows) for high-performance ASIC designs.
• Collaborate with chip design and verification teams, communicating and coordinating with members of those teams including those in remote locations.
• Design and develop tools and flows to support advanced pre- and post-silicon testing methodologies.
• Coordinate with the information technology team on tool installation and updates, license monitoring, and data management.

Basic Required Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters Degree (or equivalent experience)
• 4+ years of relevant work experience with hand-on experience in programming in Python or similar scripting languages (C, C++, Python)

Additional Required Qualifications

• Strong debugging and analytical skills across computer architecture, RTL development, Verilog or SystemVerilog and hardware design processes
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with on-site and remote teams
• Familiarity with git, Jenkins, Synopsys VCS & Verdi, HTML/XML, JSON, and REST APIs
• Familiarity with data management techniques
• Solid understanding of the hardware development life cycle

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with UI/UX design and development is a plus

Annual Salary Range and Level

The base salary for this position ranges from $125,000/year up to $180,000/year. This range is based on role, level, and location and reflects the salary target for new hires in the US. Individual pay within the range will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate’s job-related qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location.
