Job Title: Senior Associate, Human Resources

Location: This position is fully remote & reports to NY Life headquarters in New York, NY. Applicants may work remotely from anywhere in the United States.

Offered Wage: $145,000/year

Duties: Manages the annual compensation process from a system perspective for the entire organization. Understands how to balance business needs, user experience, and system impacts into a productive and positive experience. Analyzes and interprets large volumes of data, organizes data in a usable fashion, and makes data accessible and usable by customers. Understands the flexibility and limitations of cloud-based systems. Analyzes current system capabilities and enhancements and understands how they benefit users. Engages with team members and the community concerning pushing applications to their limits and beyond. Conducts material "lessons learned" discussions at the end of deployments to engage in continuous process improvement. Interprets business requirements to develop meaningful solutions. Engages functional partners and leads enhancement projects. Participates in online community and influences change. Makes recommendations to management for high-value versus low-value enhancements for future progress and process improvements. Leverages existing tools or find new ones to determine solutions for functional user needs. Presents enhancements and solutions to the larger team and to management. Ensures valued contributor status through strong oral and written communications.

Education & Experience Requirements:

Master's degree in Computer Science, Electric or Electronic Engineering or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) and 3 years of experience providing technical support for Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), specifically SAP Cloud HR products

Or in the alternative:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electric or Electronic Engineering or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) and 5 years of experience providing technical support for Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), specifically SAP Cloud HR products

Required Skills:

Experience must include 1 year in each of the following skills:

  1. Leveraging knowledge of the SuccessFactors compensation module to translate compensation plans and corporate timeframes into a streamlined process for the business and users;
  2. Designing compensation worksheets in SuccessFactors that incorporate budget rules, eligibility rules and guidelines, promotions, and merit increases and developing and maintaining custom compensation statements;
  3. Leveraging knowledge of how the SuccessFactors Employee Central module integrates with the compensation module, association, propagation, business rules, and workflow and creating Metadata Framework (MDF) objects to develop creative, easy to use solutions; and,
  4. Leveraging Power Queries and Power BI tools, MS Access, SQL, Visual Basic for Applications (VBA), and Macros to develop reporting, validations, and audit controls related to the HR compensation process.
