RER Solutions, Inc., is accepting resumes for a Senior Associate to become a part of our superior workforce in supporting the Department of Energy's Advanced Technology Vehicles Manufacturing (ATVM) Loan Program. The Senior Associate will Work with teams on the identification and assessment of projects for the ATVM program which are associated with high-value loans for innovative or commercially ready clean energy projects, manufacturing projects, and advanced technology vehicle and component manufacturing projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct market research for relevant market sector to projects in the energy infrastructure space.
  • Monitor and analyze the activities and new policies established by local, state, and federal governments.
  • Communicate findings through reports, memorandums, social media, and presentations.
  • Serve as a consultant responsible applicant engagement with the public, including potential applicants to client programs and other key stakeholders.
  • Support the client leadership in external outreach and stakeholder engagement efforts.
  • Focus on various ATVM market segments but be available to support other market segments as needed
  • Develop and execute stakeholder and applicant engagement strategies such as external and business development meetings.
  • Advise and support the client team on stakeholder engagement and communications issues to promote the program's mission with potential applicants.
  • Support in building and executing a Strategic and Tactical plan that includes key information, processes, and approaches to execute on mission, objectives, activities, and accomplishments
  • Responsible for supporting internal and external communications to support the client's mission.
  • Provides advice and recommendations to the client to accelerate project development.
  • Interface with company and client personnel and provide regular reports of progress.
  • Present analyses through various means, including formal written studies, PowerPoint, and oral presentations.
  • Prepare or collaborate with staff to prepare comprehensive position papers, memorandums, and/or briefing materials.
  • Monitor energy sector developments pertinent to the operating environment.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of US Citizenship required to obtain client-issued Public Trust
  • A minimum of 10 years of related professional experience
  • Experience working in project finance is preferred
  • Financial modeling experience preferred
  • Knowledge of project and corporate finance to evaluate the viability of a borrower.
  • Skills in researching finance structures such as corporate, asset-based, or limited resource project finance transactions to make sound financial decisions and recommendations.
  • Ability to perform complex financial analysis and make sound financial decisions.
  • Knowledge of the techniques and processes necessary to negotiate and underwrite borrowers and guarantors of large scale projects effectively.
  • Knowledge of borrowers' and lenders' requirements for terms of loan and loan guarantees.
  • Ability to participate on a team addressing the technical, legal-economic, and financial feasibility aspects of high-value loans for large scale projects.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including business negotiation skills with the ability to write business correspondence and analytic reports.
  • Excellent attention to detail, and an understanding of fundamental business writing
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office Products (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)

EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree (preferred)
