Senior Associate, Data Analytics

Responsibilities

As a Data Analytics Senior Associate, you will be a critical team member of the firm Data and Analytics team. This role is a specialized role focused on supporting the Finance department with insights, management reports, and analysis for decision-making processes. You will also be responsible for firm level reports utilizing financial data and metrics. You will work closely with the Data Solutions, Data Operations, Finance, and Data Analytics team to develop business critical analysis and reporting to enable data driven decisions.

• Develops and maintains finance related data, reports, and dashboards for Finance team and firm overall with a focus on reporting actuals and trends, and providing insights for leaders
• Translates business needs into analytics/reporting requirements to support finance decisions and workflows
• Supports overall firm initiatives from a finance data and analytics perspective
• Proactively analyzes and mines data lakehouse to identify additional insights, data quality concerns, opportunities for additional data modeling
• Supports users with ad hoc training, troubleshooting, etc. related to finance data and reporting

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in data analytics, data science, computer science, management information systems, finance, statistics or related field
• Experience performing data analytics in a financial setting (financial statement analysis or development, trending analytics, understands key finance metrics, chart of accounts, etc.)
• Hands on practical experience utilizing Microsoft PowerBI, Azure Databricks, Databricks SQL and SQL Server
• Experience with consumer-level and industry-level data
• Experience utilizing cloud-based technologies (preferably Azure) and data lakehouse architecture
• Experience with professional service industry or CPA and advisory firms preferred
• Be an excellent communicator and collaborator, engaging with multiple technical and business stakeholders and leaders and be able to translate business questions and analysis into simple briefings for use by various parties
