Senior Associate, Digital Media

Echoing Green is seeking a Senior Associate, Digital Media, to help execute our communications and marketing strategy. You'll be responsible for producing and disseminating Echoing Green content across all digital and social platforms (Twitter, Instagram, Linkedln, Facebook, etc.).

The Senior Associate reports to the Director of Marketing & Communications and is a part of the Communications Team.

Echoing Green works with social innovators in the U.S. and globally to support big, bold ideas that help make our communities more equitable and sustainable. In line with the institution's growth over the past few years, we are expanding our online presence by marketing our programs and events, sharing storytelling campaigns, and amplifying our thought leadership.

The right candidate for this role is a self-starter with a knack for accessible copywriting, strong instincts on messaging and positioning, and an eagerness to learn.

What You'll Do

You'll support digital engagement by:

• Developing and maintaining a social editorial calendar, including copywriting, scheduling, and posting to Echoing Green's social channels
• Maintaining brand standards in all marketing campaigns
• Sourcing content from the Echoing Green Fellow community and assisting with online community management
• Developing creative assets for campaigns, one-off events, etc.
• Inspiring meaningful engagement on Echoing Green's social media channels
• Monitoring content and campaign performance in partnership with the Director, Marketing & Communications
• Researching best practices and emerging trends and platforms
• Partnering across teams to support email marketing

Requirements

What you'll bring:

• Deep understanding and fluency with all major social platforms (lnstagram, Twitter, Linkedln, TikTok, Facebook, etc.)
• Experience with paid social marketing campaigns is preferred (particularly on Meta and Linkedin)
• At least two years of social media, design, communications, or public relations experience is strongly preferred
• Alignment with the mission and vision of Echoing Green
• Experience at a nonprofit is a plus
• Experience with or interest in learning tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Premiere Pro, or Canva
• Familiarity with Sprout Social or other social listening and publishing tools is a plus
• Strong organization skills and ability to work on different projects
• Very high attention to detail
• Outstanding written and verbal communications skills
• Collaborative, flexible, and well-suited to participating in an entrepreneurial, collegial environment
• Self-motivated, with the ability to navigate challenging situations in a professional manner

Base Salary: $75,000/year

This role is hybrid and requires 2-3 days/ a week in our NYC office.
