Senior Associate, Events and Engagements
Job Description
Echoing Green works with social innovators in the U.S. and globally to support big, bold ideas that help make our communities more equitable and sustainable. In line with the institution's growth over the past few years, we are expanding our online presence by marketing our programs and events, sharing storytelling campaigns, and amplifying our thought leadership.
What You'll Do
You'll support events by:
EVENT PRODUCTION
- Manage all aspects of event logistics for virtual, hybrid, and live events; this includes host or moderator duties and the administration of event systems for virtual and in-person engagements.
- Partner across internal teams to steward event-related external partnerships for all events, such as corporate engagements, Unwavering screenings, development, and brand-raising events.
- Serve as the key logistical point of contact for Echoing Green VIPs, including members of the executive team and Board of Directors, to deliver a seamless and top-tier experience.
- Source and collaborate with event-related vendors and suppliers across various areas of expertise to ensure successful event execution, including designers, venue managers, and travel agents.
- Create event marketing plans by building and maintaining invitation lists, drafting event marketing emails as needed, and collecting partner assets and other collateral.
- Create and manage campaigns and reports for events on Blackthorn and Salesforce.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
- Work with all internal teams to project manage your portfolio running on time and to goal. This includes creating systems and processes to keep projects running on time and to goal and coordinating and setting event planning agendas for cross-team meetings.
- Maintain the organization-wide events calendar, organize the events mailbox, and catalog events documents and files in the team's shared drive.
- Ensure administrative tasks are in order, including vendor/Fellow contracts, billing/invoices, and reimbursements.
ORGANIZATIONAL CAPACITY AND STRATEGIC PLANNING
- Design and deliver strategic feedback on new event formats
- Provide insight on new systems, processes, and software to streamline events and communications workflow
- Monitor and evaluate event results. Recommend improvements across the event portfolio with regard to process and event execution in alignment with organizational goals. This will include survey administration and reporting, stakeholder debriefs, and research on trends and tools to contribute to event improvements over time
- Advise teams on their events and engagements to share best practices and guidance
Requirements
What you'll bring:
- Strong organization skills and ability to work on different projects
- 2-3 years of in-person and/or hybrid event planning experience
- Very high attention to detail
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Collaborative, flexible, and well-suited to participating in an entrepreneurial, collegial environment
- Self-motivated, with the ability to navigate challenging situations in a professional manner
- Experience at a nonprofit is a plus
Benefits
Base Salary: $75,000/year
Echoing Green offers a full benefits package designed to support employee wellness which includes:

This role is hybrid and requires 2-3 days/ a week in our NYC office.
