Senior Associate Front-End Developer

About You

Nutrafol is searching for an experienced Front-End Developer with a keen eye for aesthetics and, preferably, a UX background to join our team. Our ideal candidate will combine creativity, curiosity, and drive to continuously perfect and revolutionize Nutrafol from the inside out. This role reports to our Lead Developer and sits on the Engineering team in Nutrafol's Technology Department.

Responsibilities: 

• Use FE technologies to exceed business and customer requirements
• Be the subject matter expert for all front-end applications in the Nutrafol ecosystem
• Work closely with BE engineers to design and build new features
• Partner with QA and designers to resolve issues that come up during development
• Work closely with designers to create best practices for handoff and implementation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and scope new features 
• Occasionally review, merge, and deploy all FE code to different environments (staging, production)
• Lead or participate in integrations with third party solutions (Ada, Brightback, VWO, Yotpo, Yotta, etc) 
• Create documentation for new features

Requirements: 

• 5+ years Front-End development experience with multiple languages, including JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3/SCSS
• 3+ years experience with ReactJS
• Working knowledge of Git, Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence
• Experience designing, communicating, and authenticating with RESTful APIs and GraphQL
• Experience working closely with a design team and translating designs from Figma
• Ability to or comfort with predicting challenges and seeking proactive solutions to obstacles as they arise 

Preferred:

• 1+ years E-commerce experience (Magento, Shopify)
• Experience in a startup or agency environment 
• Experience with Gatsby or another SSG
