Senior Associate, Institutional Giving
Job Description
Echoing Green has recently completed a $75 million fundraising campaign for the Racial Equity Philanthropic Fund and is poised to further its commitment to bold, strategic investments in social innovation and racial equity work. The Senior Associate, Institutional Giving will join a growing, experienced development team that is making significant investments in infrastructure and will soon implement a 5-year strategic plan with the organization. Focusing on data-driven strategies, the development team manages a robust institutional portfolio and plays a critical role in Echoing Green's mission of finding, funding, and connecting incredible leaders working on the frontlines of racial equity and justice.

What You'll Do
You'll support Institutional Giving by:
- Assist in the execution of proposal submission process, including preparation of narrative and financial requirements.
- Collaborate with appropriate Echoing Green departments to identify, measure and track corporate and foundation partnership deliverables
- Draft institutional funding reports as they pertain to grant requirements.
- Proactively manage institutional grant requests with the ability to own projects as well as know when to effectively delegate tasks.
- Support Director of Institutional Giving on execution of institutional portfolio strategy i.e.prospect, donor communication
- Serve as internal department liaison for cross-team special projects, including communication and development related administrative support.
- Contribute to collecting data for strategic analysis within the institutional giving vertical.
- Over time, this person will grow to manage a discrete portfolio of institutional donors (corporate and foundation) by cultivating and stewarding relationships.
- Support full development team operations by participating in monthly gift reconciliations, preparing gift reminders, and acknowledgments, including support to individual and institutional verticals.
- This person will be trained to liaise between finance and development, developing skills to support their overall professional development in reporting and reconciliation.
- Serve as a representative of Echoing Green Attend at relevant external events.
Requirements
What you'll bring:
- Passion for Echoing Green's mission, with a commitment to social entrepreneurship and harnessing next generation talent.
- Interest in and commitment to fundraising, philanthropy, and development activities.
- Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills.
- 2-3 years experience in a development or fundraising role in addition to experience with institutional giving and operations
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities, meet timelines and improve processes
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Base Salary: $75,000/year
Echoing Green offers a full benefits package designed to support employee wellness which includes:
- Up to 27 days off per year, plus 9 paid holidays and 10 days off for winter break

This role is hybrid in New York City and will require 2-3 days in office .
