Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Work with the Head of Investor Relations to support the development and execution of the IR program and strategic initiatives to enhance the perception, awareness and visibility of Ascendis Pharma within the investment community
- Partner with colleagues in Corporate Communications, Finance, Commercial, Clinical Development, Medical Affairs, Patient Advocacy, Regulatory, Product Development, Product Innovation and Legal in order to keep abreast of current information and to manage consistency of external and internal communications.
- Prepare background information and input on investors for key spokespeople in advance of meetings.
- Assist in preparing materials for quarterly earnings and event driven calls, including call scripts, frequently asked questions/answers, press releases, and accompanying presentation
- Maintain existing IR presentation materials and develop new materials as needed
- Participate in investor events and meetings as needed
- Help organize, plan, attend and track investor meetings, presentations, and conferences
- Track sell-side analysts' coverage including estimates, ratings, and reports
- Develop expertise in the end markets and disease states that Ascendis Pharma is targeting
- Collaborate with colleagues in Finance, FP&A, Accounting, Legal, and Sales to gather information related to quarterly financial reporting to ensure alignment and accuracy of figures presented in IR materials
- Proactively recommend new ideas and strategies to help improve Ascendis Pharma's IR department
Requirements
- Prior experience in healthcare equity research, or healthcare investment banking is required. Prior experience in investor relations is highly desired.
- Capacity to develop an understanding of a dynamic, multi-product, multi-therapeutic area story, involving multiple elements of scientific, financial, commercial, competitive, strategic, and goal-oriented messages.
- Requires a BA/BS or higher degree, in a related discipline with appropriate work experience
- 3-5 years of total relevant work experience
- Healthcare related and/or financial background is a plus
- Very strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel skills (direct financial modeling experience a plus)
- Motivated individual who can successfully work independently in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Ability to travel domestic and international [10%].
