Job Description
Workforce Management (WFM) professional to have the strategic approach to planning, managing, and optimizing the workforce to meet an organizationโs operational needs while maximizing productivity, efficiency, and employee satisfaction. WFM focuses on ensuring that the right number of employees with the right skills are available at the right time to meet business demands. It includes aspects like scheduling, forecasting, performance management, and resource allocation.

- Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute workforce plans based on business needs, historical data, and future projections.
- Monitor and forecast labor requirements to meet fluctuating demands and maintain optimal staffing levels.
- Design, implement, and manage shift schedules to ensure proper coverage while adhering to labor laws and company policies.
- Allocate resources efficiently to maximize productivity, minimize downtime, and reduce overtime costs.
- Oversee performance metrics for team members and departments, ensuring targets and service level agreements (SLAs) are consistently met.
- Identify areas of improvement, develop action plans, and guide teams to improve performance.
- Analyze workforce data (e.g., attendance, productivity, turnover rates) to identify trends and make data-driven decisions.
- Prepare and present regular reports on workforce performance, staffing levels, and operational efficiency to senior management.
- Lead and manage a team of workforce analysts, schedulers, and other related roles.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to direct reports, fostering a positive, productive work environment.
- Organize training programs to enhance team skills and knowledge.
- Work closely with other departments (HR, Operations, Customer Service, etc.) to align workforce plans with organizational objectives.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for workforce-related issues and provide expert advice to other managers.
- Continuously evaluate and improve workforce management processes and systems to enhance efficiency and scalability.
- Drive initiatives for cost-saving and process optimization.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices to maintain competitive advantage.
- Key Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum of 5 years in workforce management, operations, or a related field.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Workforce Management Certification) are a plus.
- Proficiency in workforce management software and advanced knowledge of Excel, advanced Excel or Power BI or other data analysis tools.
- Strong data analysis and problem-solving abilities.
- Proven ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for reporting and collaboration.
- Ability to handle complex workforce data and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Flexibility in managing change and addressing evolving business needs.
- Strong decision-making capabilities and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- High level of organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, able to build relationships across various teams and departments.
