Senior Automation Engineer

Job Summary 

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Automation Engineer in QA who has extensive experience in both automation and manual testing. The ideal candidate will be proficient in various automation tools and frameworks, capable of reviewing and improving existing automation processes, and skilled in building comprehensive test plans. This role involves automating UI and API tests, as well as enhancing our test frameworks to reduce test cycles.

What you will do

• Perform manual testing for both UI and API, including building and executing test plans.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and develop effective test strategies.
• Log defects accurately and thoroughly, and collaborate with developers to triage and prioritize them, ensuring timely resolution and effective communication throughout the process.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Robot Framework and Selenium.
• Review and enhance existing automation frameworks to improve efficiency and reduce test cycles.
• Leverage cloud platforms like AWS or other public clouds for test automation deployments.
• Integrate test automation with GitLab CI.
• Utilize Postman for API testing and automation.
• Ensure high quality and performance of applications through rigorous testing and feedback.
• Continuously evaluate and learn new tools and technologies. Conduct proof-of-concept (POC) evaluations to identify suitable tools and integrate those that effectively address our challenges.

What you will have

• BS degree or equivalent, MS degree preferred.
• 7+ years of Software Testing experience including UI and API.
• 5+ years of experience in automation testing with a strong proficiency in Robot Framework and Selenium.
• 5+ years of experience in Python programming for test automation.
• 3+ years of experience with Docker.
• 3+ years of experience with AWS or other public cloud platforms.
• 4+ years of experience with Linux or Unix systems.
• 4+ years of experience with CI tools such as GitLab or Jenkins.
• 2+ years experience with Postman for API testing and automation.
• Familiar with TCP/IP, HTTP and HTTPS protocols.
