Job Description

• Engineering and execution of the Distributed Control System (DCS) and other Control Systems for Energy from Waste (EfW) and Renewable Gas (RG) plants
• Preparation of the technical specifications for components and systems, technical evaluation of bids and joint selection of suppliers
• Supervision of suppliers throughout the whole project implementation phase (kick of meeting, project status meetings, review of supplier documentation, etc)
• Preparation and review of control system hardware design documents (cabinet layout drawings, wiring diagrams, loop diagrams, termination drawings)
• Engineering and selection of field instruments (pressure, temperature, level, flow, analyzers) for Energy from Waste (EfW) and Renewable Gas (RG) plants, including preparation of hook-up drawings
• Participation in Factory Acceptance Testing of different control systems and project risk assessments (HAZOP, SIL assessment, Cyber Security Risk Assessment) and design review meetings with customers and suppliers
• Interface coordination and collaboration with other project team members and package unit suppliers and supporting commissioning team
• Assist Manager in a development and implementation of a department strategy
• Coaching and Training of entry level members and Support other Automation Engineers in resolving DCS related technical matters
• Reviewing technical specifications and RfQ documentation to ensure accuracy, conformance with codes and client specifications
• Willingness to travel approx. 10%

Qualifications

• Several years of experience in engineering of Control Systems, preferably in power plant applications
• Good knowledge of various bus communication protocols (Profibus, Profinet, ModbusTCP, IEC104, OPC)
• Good knowledge of field instrumentation and measuring principles for pressure, temperature, level and flow
• Functional Safety Engineer certificate and Cyber Security Engineer certificate an advantage
• Fluency in English, German and other languages are an advantage
• Experience with design of instruments and cables in ATEX environment and commissioning is an advantage
• Knowledge of CAE Tools (Comos, etc), MS Office and Electrical engineering tools (EPLAN, Siemens SIMARIS will be an advantage)
• Project Management knowledge is an advantage
