Senior Automation Engineer

We're looking for a Senior Automation Engineer to join the team! In this role, you will be responsible for standing up & maintaining an automation framework used to run automated tests against games developed in Unreal Engine. You will be the person who evangelizes automation to the studio and works closely with engineers to ensure automated test coverage of their areas is comprehensive. You will be primarily working with the engineering and QA team to facilitate their automated development needs.

• Establish and extend an automation framework to run tests and report on their collective results to all relevant stakeholders.
• Work closely with the engineering departments to support their automated tests, extending the unreal automation tool suite as needed.
• Partner with the tools lead and other department leads to help define and implement the technical vision for automation at TRS
• Ensure the game remains stable/performant throughout the project, by leveraging automation to monitor and report on the state of the project.

• 5+ years of professional automation or tools programming experience
• Comfortable working in an iteration driven environment and with minimal oversight.
• Strong communication and team problem solving skills
• Proficiency in C#, C/C++ and Visual Studio
• Solid understanding of data structures & where to apply them within code.
• Familiar with Unreal Engine, or another AAA game engine
• Experience with writing scripts and/or other tools to automate tasks
• Rapid problem-solving and firefighting skills
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Engineering

• Prior experience shipping a multi-platform title
• Previous work on Multiplayer Action Games and FPS's

The estimated base pay range for this role is:

$121,000—$166,000 USD
