Senior Automation Engineer

Role Overview:

We are looking for passionate engineers to join our engineering team that leverages machine learning to build distributed, real-time, and massively scalable software.

We need hands-on developers, who will be expected to write code to automate our testing process. They will have opportunities to explore new and cutting-edge technologies and leverage them to keep ZineOne’s streaming analytics platform and associated products game-changing and of high quality. Candidates must have the ability to adapt to change, evolve, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Prior startup experience will be an advantage.

Location: Mumbai, Pune or Kolkata

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze Business Requirements, develop, design, and support QA automation frameworks and test suites.
• Work with globally located team members on a daily basis to analyse requirements and resolve defects.
• Design, develop, and implement test strategy, and test plans based on business requirements.
• Collaborates with functions like Development, Product Management, and Services to ensure Test Plans and identified testing scenarios meet stakeholder needs.
• Understanding product logical architecture holistically to develop test strategies covering all quality touchpoints: functional, and non-functional. Be a self-starter in understanding technologies & use cases of the ZineOne platform.
• Proactively monitor & understand customer issues to seek quality feedback and improve product quality.

Requirements

• Strong coding skills (3+ years) in Java or any other Object-Oriented programming language
• Proficient in developing automation framework/test suite for a variety of platforms: web, mobile and APIs (REST) using Java, Appium, Selenium, Postman, HTML, etc.
• Having experience with both Android and iOS for mobile automation.
• Experience with performance testing will be a plus
• Well-versed in any of the Agile tools & technologies (JIRA, Rally, Confluence) and software testing methods.
• Having the willingness to research and learn new technologies and frameworks to utilize while creating automation solutions. Knowledge of any scripting language is a plus.
• Good analytical, oral, and written communication skills. Ability to articulate use cases and their associated implications.
