Senior Automation Engineer - Data / Simulation (Sam's Club)

We're currently looking for a Senior Automation Engineer - Data / Simulation to grow our team!
You'll make an impact through...

• Data Analytics: by analyzing large amounts of data to provide detailed inputs to engineering designs for process flow and to build model for simulation
• Simulation: by designing, developing and simulating engineering solutions for complex materials handling problems considering human/material/equipment interactions, creating basic to advanced models and run "what-if" scenarios to drive optimal solutions using FlexSim, Demo 3D, AnyLogic or any other Discrete Event Simulation software packages
• Mechatronics: by participating in projects that modify existing electrical systems, equipment, and components including operating Programable Logic Controllers (PLC) in order to communicate, monitor and control automated processes like assembly lines, machine functions, or robotic devices
• Automation System Design & Integration: by consulting on the use of advanced machineries for automation of supply chain processes, helping to develop and implement long-range automation plans and combining knowledge of automation/system design and learnings from previous implementations into road maps
• Process Flow Design: by interpreting information, analyzing processes and documenting common obstacles and barriers to ensure effective and successful implementations
• Partnership and Collaboration: by leading and coordinating simulation efforts between internal teams and outside vendors to develop optimal solutions for Sam's network, including equipment specification, material flow, process design and site layout
• Influential Communication: by presenting to and influencing team and business partners by utilizing relevant data and fact-based information to articulate results and provide strong recommendations

• You are a master at automaton engineering with proven experience leading, designing and building out large-scale automation

• You have a hands-on leadership approach through mentoring, teaching and leading teams
• You are stimulated by unique challenges and excited to engage at Fortune 1 scale that only Walmart can provide
• You have expertise in at least one of the following areas: Discrete Event Simulation or Optimization algorithm basics
• You're experienced in Materials Handling Equipment, Warehouse Process Flow Design and Simulation, Material Flow Diagram (MDF) review
• You work with ANSI SQL and other relevant querying languages
• You have basic understanding of FMEA (system and process)
• You have basic understanding of hardware reliability quantification (OEE, Downtime Pareto)
• You're experienced using data visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker, PowerBI
• You have a master's degree in computer engineering
• You have basic understanding of Hadoop, Teradata usage
• You have strong coding skills in C++, Python, or any other scripting languages
