Senior Automation QA

So, what's the role all about?

NICE Actimize is currently seeking an experienced Senior QA to join our product team based in Southampton.  You will focus primarily on our Onboarding and KYC solution, but with future potential to move into AML, Anti-Fraud, Market Surveillance, and other NICE Actimize products. This role is a blend of Manual and Automated testing covering both traditional On-prem and Cloud deployments, requiring expertise in both areas to ensure the quality and performance of our solutions. You will be responsible for defining, executing, and automating test plans for web applications and APIs, leveraging your knowledge to create robust and efficient testing strategies.

How will you make an impact?  

• Reviewing requirements and stories in detail to participate in grooming, sprint planning, and assess testing efforts
• Working collectively with developers to ensure there are detailed tests to ensure thorough testing for any given feature or function, as well as exploratory testing for scenarios that are not defined.
• Performing hands-on test execution and automating test cases for functional regression testing
• Contributing to product design to ensure testability and robustness of products and features
• Working closely with PM and Developers to deliver high quality releases for production
• Defining and improving QA Processes/ Best Practices
• Applying innovative concepts in testing to enhance the test coverage, improve Quality and Reliability
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot application and environment issues
• Work and collaborate in multi-disciplinary Agile teams, adopting Agile delivery concepts and approaches

Have you got what it takes? 

• 6-9 years of experience in Manual and Automation testing with at least 4 years of either QA Automation or API testing experience
• Experience in designing and implementing Test Strategy and Test Plan artifacts suitable for an Agile development process
• Experience in .Net applications and C#
• Experience in Behavior driven framework design and development for QA automation for example using Specflow
• Experience with API automation tools like SOAP UI/Postman is MUST.
• Understanding of basic database concepts and ability to retrieve data from a relational database such as MSSQL/PostGre
• Requirement gathering and Defect management using tools like QC and JIRA
• Sound knowledge of SDLC phases and Testing Life cycle
• Experience in creating and executing detail Test Suites/Test Cases
• Self-motivated and fast learner with a strong sense of ownership and drive
• Good interpersonal and communication skills; friendly disposition; work effectively as a team player
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively

You will have an advantage if you also have:

• Knowledge/Experience of non-functional performance testing will be an added advantage
• Experience working and testing in private and public cloud environments like AWS, Azure, and GCP will be an added advantage
• Experience working on Actimize solutions or Onboarding, Client Lifecyle or other compliance products will be an added advantage
• Familiar with CI/CD and experience with Jenkins, Artifactory and working knowledge in Docker will be an added advantage
• Experience testing with Rules Engines and Workflow Engines will be an added advantage
• Educated to degree level will be an added advantage
