Job Description

You'll join a team working for one of the world's biggest investment banks. Your goal will be to lead the team and build effective test automation strategies and practices to set up highly performant and predictable pipelines and improve the overall quality of the technology stack.
We expect the Senior Automation QA Engineer to:

• design and implementation of a multi-layer test automation strategy,
• developing and maintaining effective testing frameworks,
• sharing best practices and approaches with the project team,
• evaluation, monitoring, and reporting to key stakeholders - business and dev leads
• team management and keeping the spirit high

Must have skills:

• have a proactive attitude to problem-solving and lead by example
• have excellent communication skills: you feel good speaking to people and can articulate the progress, problems, and plans of your team for different audiences, from engineers to stakeholders. 
• can demonstrate hands-on knowledge of modern testing methodologies, concepts, and practices. You'll have to help people make proper decisions.
• have enough object-oriented programming experience with 4+ years of experience in a similar role:
  • Senior QA automation engineer
  • Lead QA engineer
  • Test Automation Lead, or Test Architect
• have solid experience in OOP, code build and packaging tools (Maven, Gradle), Spring, JUnit/TestNG, API testing tools, and at least one CI system (Teamcity, Jenkins, etc).
• have a proven track of delivering test automation solutions from scratch, both independently and leading a team
• have experience with Agile practices and ceremonies, or even a certification

Nice to have

• hands-on experience in test performance optimization
• finTech testing or a trading background – Devexperts does FinTech, and your experience will be valued
