Senior Automation Test Engineer

Senior QA automation Engineer will be responsible for automating various systems and identifying and eliminating errors. Establishing test strategies and designing test plans and cases. Developing and executing automated UI and functional tests. Work closely with development and product teams to establish testing strategies, design and implement test plans, and develop automated tests that cover various aspects of the application, including UI and functionality.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop & maintain automated test scripts using automation tools & scripting languages​
• Execute automated tests & analyze results to identify defects & performance issues​
• Develop & maintain test automation infrastructure, test environments & data sets ​
• Work closely with developers to integrate automated test scripts to CI/CD pipeline​
• Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement & contribute to implementation of best practices in automation testing
• Establishing test strategies and designing test plans and cases.
• Create a comprehensive test strategy that outlines the approach, tools, and techniques to be used for automation testing.
• Develop a detailed test plan that outlines the scope, objectives, and resources required for automation testing
• Analyze current workflows and identify opportunities for automation to improve productivity, reduce errors, and enhance overall operational efficiency.
• Execute regression tests to ensure that new code changes do not impact existing functionality
• Continuously enhance and debug the test cases to ensure accurate and reliable results.
• Manage the deployment and testing of automation tools and processes, ensuring they meet performance and reliability standards.
• Monitor and optimize automated systems, adjusting as needed to maintain optimal performance.
• Participate in sprint planning & stand-ups​.

Skills Required

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5 years of experience in software quality assurance and test automation, with a focus on Salesforce applications.
• Strong understanding of automation testing principles and methodologies.
• Nice to have - prior experience/knowledge of the quote to cash and procure to pay processes
• Experience with web application testing and Continuous Integration processes.
• Copado Expertise:
• Copado Platform Knowledge: Familiarity with Copado’s suite, especially Copado Robotic Testing, and its functionalities for Salesforce.
• Copado Deployment: Understanding how Copado integrates with Salesforce for CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment) processes.
• Robotic Process Automation (RPA):
• RPA Tools Knowledge: Experience with RPA tools and frameworks, such as UiPath, Automation Anywhere, or Blue Prism.
• Automation Scripting: Skills in creating and maintaining automation scripts for testing purposes.
• Salesforce Knowledge:
• Salesforce Administration: Understanding of Salesforce objects, fields, workflows, and automation processes.
• Salesforce Development: Basic knowledge of Apex code, Visualforce, and Salesforce Lightning components can be beneficial.
• Programming Skills:
• Scripting Languages: Proficiency in scripting languages such as JavaScript, Python, or Java for developing custom test scripts.

Certifications (Preferred)

• Copado Certifications:
• Copado Certified Professional: To demonstrate proficiency with Copado’s suite, including Robotic Testing.
• Salesforce Certifications:
• Salesforce Administrator or Developer: To provide a solid foundation in Salesforce functionalities.
• RPA Certifications:
• Certified RPA Developer: For expertise in using robotic process automation tools.
