Senior Automation Tester in Java
Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Automation Tester in Java to join our team.
This role will support a major Wealth Management firm transitioning from manual to automated testing for their Branch Investment Management Portfolio. The ideal candidate will play a key role in developing and executing a comprehensive automation strategy while adapting to the ongoing creation of a new Automation Framework.

Responsibilities
- Write and manage functional, integration, and acceptance test cases
- Automate test cases for regression, functional, and smoke testing
- Execute automation tasks and uphold testing standards within the team
- Integrate test cycles with the DevOps pipeline for streamlined processing
- Employ creativity and efficiency in troubleshooting and resolving system issues
- Enable automated testing for both back-end services (REST APIs) and front-end interfaces
- Document defects and report on their statuses
- Oversee test data and test environment management
- Manage versions of test scripts efficiently

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or similar field; Master's degree preferred
- Possess 6+ years of Quality Assurance experience, including a minimum of 4 years in test automation development or a mix of development and testing
- Proficiency in creating and maintaining automation scripts
- Background in agile methodologies
- Strong analytical and excellent organizational skills
- Expertise in functional, integration, and regression testing
- Understanding of manual testing
- Competency in integrating test suites with CI/CD pipelines
- Stellar communication, troubleshooting, and documentation skills
- English proficiency at B2 level or higher
- Experience in client-facing roles
- Knowledge of financial services and/or wealth management is a significant advantage
- Familiarity with Cucumber, Java, and Jira
- Skills in Performance Testing and SQL
- Competency in using qTest
