Senior Automotive Quality Engineer

Your Role:

As a Senior Automotive Software Quality Engineer, you’ll be working with some of the industry’s brightest minds to build best in class vehicles.  You will play a leading role in supporting and execute all incoming, inline, and outgoing quality for the Hanford manufacturing facility.  You will work collaboratively with various engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to develop high quality processes enabling the best product, risk analysis, problem solving and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

Your primary responsibility will include creation and execution of quality tests which correlate with usage of the Internet of Vehicle system. As part of your routine, and to better understand the requirements and system's interworking, you will closely interact with Product Owners, Solution/Systems Architects, Development Team, as well as business team. Creation of descriptive and precise test cases, which include test instructions, data setup and vehicle configuration according to specific requirements, will be critical to your and our success.

In addition, you can also look forward to the following:

• Design test cases and test plans traceably to SW requirements
• Execute and analyze manual/automated tests across software development lifecycle (SDLC)
• Utilize HIL test benches and participate in Vehicle-In-Loop testing sessions
• Make sure that execution status and results are tracked utilizing the appropriate tools
• Create, maintain and track defects. Highlight blocking defects and issues in time
• Participate in troubleshooting and triaging of issues with stakeholders to drive towards root cause identification and resolution
• Verify and close out defects, relevant Change Requests prior to release
• Developing automation scripts using multiple technologies
• Utilizing multiple automation techniques across multiple infrastructure environments

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree or higher in engineering or similar discipline or related relevant equivalent experience
• 4-6 years of experience in manufacturing quality environment (automotive, aerospace, consumer electronics)
• Proven knowledge, expertise, and passion for process development, root cause analysis and problem solving with track record of driving continuous improvement
• Strong background with design verification, product and process control, vehicle testing equipment, and audit methodology
• Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities, define plans to achieve goals, create timelines and provide status reporting
• Effectively and efficiently connect and collaborate with peers, development team, product owners, solution architects and other subject matter specialists
• Desire to work in a fast paced, highly integrated, agile development environment.
• Top-notch communication skills to effectively work across functions both within and external to the company at various levels
• Maintain safety, security and privacy standards in all areas of responsibility.
• Strong troubleshooting skills along with the ability to breakdown complex issues.
• Strong knowledge of SDLC and Quality Assurance methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in vehicle diagnostics, and vehicle verification over CAN, Vehicle Ethernet, and LIN (Vector/CANoe, Intrepid Vehicle Spy, etc)
• Experience in mobile, telematics, Internet, big data, artificial intelligence or infotainment testing
• Proficiency with TCP/IP network communications and network analysis.
• Understanding communication protocols (Modem/LTE/5G, CAN, UART, Wifi, Bluetooth, etc.).
• Experience in audio quality tuning, automotive audio validation, conduct acoustic measurements and data collection
• Experience in camera image/video quality test and analysis
• Experience with industry standard development and/or automation tools (JIRA, Jenkins, Git, etc).

Annual Salary Range:

($100K-$125K DOE), plus benefits and incentive plans
