The Citus Health / ResMed Senior DevOps AWS Engineer responsible for constructing, maintain the operational infrastructure for the Citus Health Platform working collaboratively with software engineering to deploy and operate our systems.

Highly competent, self-motivated, capable individual who will be responsibilities for deploying product updates, identifying production issues, and implementing integrations that meet customer needs. Ultimately, you will execute and automate operational processes fast, accurately, and securely.

The DevOps Engineer also provides project and business analysis support to strategic projects, internal process improvements, system upgrades, and the integration of key business systems to utilize client's information systems effectively and efficiently.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Strong experience working in AWS.
  • Manages & maintains the daily ticket queue by responding to customer inquiries and requests
  • Strong experience in setting up Apache as Load balancer, URL re-writing, SSL and virtual host configurations, log rotations.
  • Strong experience in setting up RHEL 7.x or over systems, security patch updates and taking system backups.
  • Responsible for the deployment, maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualization.
  • Responsible for server management, performance monitoring, tuning, and security.
  • Responsible for troubleshooting performance issues on Linux servers and provide resolutions to improve performances.
  • Troubleshooting performance issues on Web Application Servers.
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a similar field.
  • 5+ years of working experience as a Linux System Administrator
  • Must have above average troubleshooting skills, strong analytical problem-solving skills, and the ability to interpret technical questions
  • Strong knowledge of Web technologies and components and how they are installed and troubleshot
  • Solid experience in setting up monitoring systems such as Prometheus, Grafana and CloudWatch.
  • Experience with scripting (Unix, Linux, shell and Python).
  • Experience troubleshooting and resolving performance issues, server capacity issues, and other distributed server cluster issues.
  • Experience in GitHub and Cloud Formation Scripts.
  • CI/CD Build and deployment automation.
  • Knowladge of Docker and Kubernetes
  • Proposes and implements system enhancements (software and hardware updates) that will improve the performance and reliability of the Linux system.
  • Configuration Management (Puppet/Terraform/RPM) is a plus.
  • Providing end-user support, resolving technical issues, and providing technical assistance for all operating systems and applications.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing the impact of issues.
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP networking concepts and network structures are desired.
  • Properly documents actions taken on Tickets opened, processed, or worked on

  • Great attitude, good communicator (verbal, written) Willing to work flexible hours and with remote engineering staff outside headquarters (work with teams in USA, and India across various time zones)
  • Organized and detail-oriented and understands the importance of rapid issue resolution
  • Team player and can deal with high-stress situations
  • Understands the dynamics of a small company (wear many hats, likes variety of tasks, etc)
  • Continuous learner, takes initiative, and understands what it takes to get outstanding client satisfaction
  • Must be decisive, conscientious, interact well in a team environment, have a strong desire to learn and be able to follow policies and procedures
  • Ability to present technical information to groups
  • Use of time management to set priorities of various assignments and complete them within allocated times with little or no supervision
