USA REMOTE ROLE: The Senior Cloud Engineer (AWS) is responsible for the engineering and support of our Cloud platform for customers and partners. You will help us build and introduce AWS cloud into the business as well as work on the existing environment on Azure!

The role is defined by incident performance metrics, customer satisfaction results and improving the level of automation in build, upgrade and automated support activities. Key skills are customer service, setting up and configuring AWS services, PowerShell, automation, and a desire to be the best-in-class engineer delivering within a DevOps environment.

Responsibilities:

• Own the deployment of solutions onto the AWS and Azure platforms by working with customers and the internal team to envision, architect, and help build solutions
• Driving and implementing DevOps practices and tools.
• Troubleshooting and resolving software incident escalations and implementing automated resolutions.
• Build enhancements to continually improve our automation.
• Contribute to version-controlled build and deploy scripts as part of the continuous integration and continuous delivery pipeline.
• Investigate, define, and deliver improvements to deployment management and configuration management.
• Steer improvements to speed up build and deployment times.
• Work directly with Security Team to respond to and eliminate security incidents/findings.

Requirements

• We seek a development background and experience across a variety of environments and languages.
• Proven ability to support and administer Windows environments. Including software deployments, customer-facing support, and infrastructure deployment.
• Proven experience in setting up and configuring AWS services.
• Solid understanding of RDS, EKS, EC2, Control Tower, Cloud Formation, Cloud Trail, Cloud Watch, AWS Config, Lambda
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
• Knowledge of working with container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes (running EKS/K3S/AKS)
• Expertise using DevOps to automate infrastructure deployment via CI/CD using Jenkins, GitHub, DockerSecurity
• Outstanding interpersonal skills to handle delivery in line with internal and external team expectations.
• Excellent team teamwork - previous experience working with software development teams.
• Experience working in an agile environment with distributed teams.
• A self-starter who finds solutions not problems and is easily able to adapt to/research new technologies.
• Progressive experience building and deploying cloud infrastructure
• SQL Server, Windows/Linux automation is desirable.
