CGI has an immediate need for a Senior AWS Datalake Developer to join our financial services team in one of our selected CGI locations. As a Senior AWS Datalake Developer, you will participate in all aspects of the software development life-cycle which includes estimating, technical design, implementation, documentation, testing, deployment and support of application developed for our clients. As a member working in a team environment you will work with solution architects and developers on interpretation/translation of wire-frames and creative designs into functional requirements, and subsequently into technical design.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
The Sr. AWS Datalake Developer will be responsible for migration of BI platforms from on-prem to AWS, including ETL.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• 8-10 years of hands-on development experience • Experience implementing a data lake architecture, enterprise data solutions• 2 years of hands-on experience on python and data engineering experience• 4 years of extensive experience with AWS data services like Redshift, Postgres, Aurora, Athena, RDS, DynamoDB, Data Pipeline, EMR.• 4 years using ETL / data movement tools (Glue) • Must be able to perform creation of complex metrics, Conditional and Level metrics and their use within a report context• Strong understanding of Data modeling concepts• Experience working with a Relational Database using SQL and ETL Tools• Ability to be hands-on as part of agile team (this is not a purely advisory role)• Strong communication skills
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field
AWS Certifications desired

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to: skill set level; experience and training; and licensure and certifications. CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $84,000-$161,600*
